A storm raged the day she moved to our small town on the east coast of Australia. I can’t believe this is the first book I am reading from Author Lilliana Anderson. In the Wind had me captivated from the first page until the last. I even found myself wanting more at the end of the story, which is huge for me.
Dawn thought she had it all planned out. She would love her best friend and they would leave for university together, maybe even have a happily ever after. This was what I thought the story was about until I kept reading. Boy, was I wrong.
In the Wind was a whirlwind. The things I thought that might happen didn’t and the curve balls the author threw knocked me off my seat. I loved every minute of it.
In the Wind was a beautifully written story. The characters were different and I liked that.
Dawn was a little stuck up but I understood that she had so much to handle and she always felt like the odd one. I enjoyed seeing her evolve and trying to find her own little place in the world.
Zeke, uh I don’t know how I feel about him even after the story ended. He came across as selfish and wasn’t that great of a friend in my eyes.
Luke *swoon*. How could anyone not love Luke. He was hot, caring, charming, a good listener and patient. I love that I slowly fell in love with him the more the author incorporated him into the story.
Then we have Shea. I thought she was on drugs for a good bit of the story. I think she was so lost but like a storm she could cause so much destruction.
Overall, In the Wind is truly a great story. It was well written, intense, the characters were likable (most of them) and the story made me feel. I was sad, excited at times and couldn’t finish the story fast enough. Great story!!!
