Chasing Rainbows is the first book I’ve read by Author Linda Oaks and I liked it.
The story was filled with lots of twist and kept me thinking and excited to see where the story was heading.
For a teenager, Addie is confused with her feelings towards the new students who surprisingly are twins. Chance and Chase are mysterious and different but most of all they are paying Addie attention that she doesn’t received in school. I felt for Addie, she was struggling with what was going on at home and with the twins coming into her life and turning it upside down.
I also liked some of the characters like Jake, Kara and Brandon. There were a lot of funny moments.
There were a few things in the story that left me feeling a sense of lacking. I was left with so many questions about a few of the characters. For instance, what happen to the twins? Bryce?
I thought that Addie was too easily attached to anyone that showed her the time of day. Despite being a teenager the signs of the boys intentions was there but she didn’t see them. It seemed like a lot was missing from the plot of the story and the pace moved a little too quickly. One day they met and the other they were in love.
Overall, the story was good even though I wanted a little more in regards to filling in the blanks.
